New Discriminatory Or Unfair Employment Practice – Disclosure Of Wage Information

Remember when an employer could take action against an employee if they shared wage information with co-workers?

This practice is no longer legal!

Effective August 6, 2008, employers in Colorado may not:

  • Take action against an employee for discussing or disclosing wage information;
  • Make non-disclosure of wages a condition of employment or;
  • Otherwise deny an employee the right to disclose his or her wage information.

Employers take note!
