Brent Keele

Brent Keele is a trusted advisor, counselor, attorney, advocate, business leader, and board member. He has a long history of helping his clients reach their personal, family, and professional goals through common-sense legal advice. He is enthusiastic about solving problems and providing peace of mind. Brent has advised clients through many important decisions, transactions, business formations, growth strategies, succession planning, and estate plans. He understands that the right answer is the one that helps his clients achieve their goals. 

Brent and his wife Shanna have three children. He and his family enjoy traveling, sporting events, and attending concerts. Brent actively serves within his faith community and enjoys coaching and volunteering with youth sports organizations.  

Brent practiced law for several years in Nevada, where he was repeatedly recognized among the state’s Legal Elite by the Nevada Business Magazine.

Brent focuses his practice on planning for federal income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping taxes. He is well-versed in state and local sales, consumer use, and transfer taxation. Brent’s business background informs his expert advising in corporate law and business transactions, and he employs his experience to guide clients through entity formation to achieve tax savings and asset protection.  

Brent also assists business owners with succession planning strategies. With his counsel, clients implement ownership structures that facilitate smooth transitions of ownership, while protecting company and personal assets from excess taxation.  

After several years of legal practice in Nevada and California, Brent was recruited to serve as in-house counsel for a privately held family office in Colorado. In this role, Brent oversaw the day-to-day administration of complex estate planning and business functions. He played significant roles in the formation and operation of several businesses on three different continents. Additionally, Brent has served as a board member and strategic advisor to many privately held companies. He served seven years as the President of the family office, overseeing all aspects of its services; including legal affairs, real estate acquisition and management, construction, financial reporting, private investments, concierge and aviation services, and charitable giving.

Brent graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Utah in 2002. He graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska with a Juris Doctorate in 2006; and completed his education with a postgraduate Master of Laws in Taxation in 2007 from the University of Florida. Brent is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, and California, and serves as a notary public in Colorado. 

Brent is and advocate for youth development, local business, and compassionate care, and is actively engaged supporting community programs that try to make a positive difference in these areas. Brent serves on multiple boards that reflect his values and vision for a thriving community.

Brent proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Adventure West Council of Scouting America, where he supports youth leadership and character-building programs across the region. He also serves as a Board Member for the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, where he helps promote economic growth, business advocacy, and community engagement. Additionally, Brent serves on the Board of Directors for Dementia Together, a nonprofit committed to supporting individuals and families affected by dementia through education, connection, and resources.
